Alone

The girl was tearful as the steel blade was heard scraping against the metal. Pounding footsteps approached the door ever so slowly……

I winced and hid under my mauve quilt at the sound. Cautiously, I glanced at my laptop screen. It was eleven o’clock. My mom would be home soon. I reached over and picked up my bowl of baby carrots. Suddenly the door blew open. The lights flashed on, then off. I looked outside, but no one was there. A crash came from the kitchen; I ran. My mother was cleaning up her spilled coffee. I would never watch horror movies alone ever again.

The Airport

I was at the airport, getting ready for my flight. I was heading to England to visit my parents. My flight was leaving in an hour, so I decided to stop by the food court to eat. Looking out the window I could see that the weather was dull and misty. When I went back to my seat, I had half an hour left. My eyes started to close; and I grew tired. As the weather changed, they started to call numbers up to the front to board. Blackness surrounded me. Suddenly I was awake. I looked around; but I could see no one. I had missed my flight.

Doors

I stumbled down the hallway. Looking around, I could see two doors opposite each other. I looked in front and behindWhich way? I chose the door behind me, but when I reached it, I was shoved violently backwards. The exact same thing happened when I tried the other door. All at once, the lights were shut off. Slowly, my eyes adjusted to the darkness. A shadow was barreling towards me, and at that moment, a flash of red sparked between my eyes. The lights turned back on and I was kneeling down on the carpet. My head felt jumbled, my throat raw. Blisters decorated my spine.
